35/21 shoulder press/dips (unassisted)
I may have the knees of a 70 y/o man but at least I'm losing weight while maintaining fitness and strength (increasing?). Yesterday I clocked in at 171#. Just a couple more pounds closer to my goals of leaning out.
Today I did tabata shoulder press at 60% max (similar prescription for the deadlift) and unassisted dips. The SP brought me to failure after about the second round - it turned into 10 seconds of doing, 10 seconds of trying, and 10 seconds of rest. I didn't have any juice left in my arms for the dips, so those were extremely difficult and slow. Again - dips was 10 seconds of doing, 10 seconds of trying, and 10 seconds of rest.
All in all the tabatas are supposed to do just that - make you better by bringing you as close to muscle fatigue and failure as you can get. time after time. http://www.marksdailyapple.com/atp-pc-energy/
